We have been long-term friends who share a love for great food. Back in late 29 we were craving for some tasty food but couldn't decide between sushi and Thai. Then we wondered, why not both? The Idea Was born! That Next Spring we walked through our favorite neighborhood "Capitol Hill" and found out that there was a small restaurant space available right on Broadway. With a limited budget but full of energy we decided that Seattle should have its first Thai & Sushi restaurant and turned the space into a contemporary but warm bistro. We called it Pinto which means 'lunchbox' in Thai and reminds us of the days we went to school. Mom would cook up a hearty meal and store it in small stackable containers. Each day we were looking forward to lunch time to see what surprises the pinto had in store for us. At Pinto we try to provide our guests with a selection of authentic Thai dishes and fresh Sushi sourced from the best places around town. Although we love to try out new recipes and experiment with the two cuisines (try our Samurai Pad Thai!) You can find all the traditional Thai dishes, selection of fresh fish, original and popular western rolls you have come to love.
